Today is our SIXTH month anniversary !! Time flies... can't believe we have been married that long but because of the occasion I thought I would do a post about our wedding. Oh how I loved our wedding. When I started I wanted my wedding to be mine and be personal. Therefore, almost everything you see was handmade or created by me, my mom, or other close loving friends. My favorite part of my wedding was of course being sealed but next to that it had to be my dress. The amount of time Melissa Blackburn spent on making this dress was unsurmountable. The three of us went way out of comfort zones and made it the masterpiece it is today. The first time we met we were deciding on color and fabric... hard choice right... 2-3 hours later we settled on a blush with Ivory lace over the top. It made the ivory pop instead of being a big blob of ivory... ya know. Fascinating what the contrast will do. So we chose to go out of the box and that is what we did the following 3-4 months later. I owe the beauty to Melissa, honestly that woman has the eye to make my an absolute master piece. THANK YOU!! Anyways enough rambling here it is :) (Melissa's Blog http://melissablackburn.blogspot.com/ )
Now those who know me well, know that I like events to be big, lots of people, lots of food, and lots of fun. This is why we went with the ballroom at the Provo Library, and as we expected 660 showed. Thanks to all of you who came and supported Dave and I on such a wonderful day. Especially to our wedding party which consisted of 33 of us (bridesmaids, flower girls, and groomsmen) Just how Dave and I like it :). We are so grateful for their friendship and love they have shown us over the years.
There was no way we could have done this without our amazing parents :) We love you guys more than you know.
Can't forget the best part of the day... the sealing... WOW... is all i can say. There is nothing more sacred than being able to be sealed to the love of your life, honestly words can't describe. The emotions and the feelings I felt in my soul that day were something I could never forget and cherish as one of my most prize possessions.
This was around the temple while we were in there.. beautiful isn't it
My girl friends :) how I love them
Dave's buddies
The Whole Clan :) Everyone we love most ...
I love these pictures of Dave and Bryce (Dave's little brother)
Like I mentioned earlier my mom and I made most of the things (of course with Paula's, Brandi's and many others help) for this wedding so here is a little preview of those...
Found that fabric for the ties (fit perfectly with the theme and turned out great), and the boutonnieres were done with two different sizes of ric-rac with a button and some creased and aged paper for the leafs.
Yes my mom made these dresses ... amazing huh !
And of course LOTS of dancing ...
The Bouquet toss... and why am I not surprised who got it haha .. oh mars
The cutting of the cake ...My mom swore that if Dave shoved the cake in my face that she would be mad at him forever haha ...
Our first dance :):) To "Marry Me" by Train ... So perfect
My dance with my Daddy O. :) to our song "Angel Flying to Close to the Ground" This song is special because when I was little my dad use to call me Angel and one day I asked him why and he started to tell me how they were hiking Angels Landing in Zion's and there were a bunch of angels flying on top. Well he saw this little curly blonde hair girl that was flying too close to the ground. And because he is so tall (6'6) he reached up on his tippy toes and grabbed me out of the sky :) Ever since then I have been his little angel and he has been my Daddy O. :)
Dave and his Momma :)
I love this picture ... So Lucy
Then we went off into the sunset as the new Mr. & Mrs. Boyer :)
