Wilderness adventure ...

This past weekend was one of the first weekends Dave and I have both had work off in a really long long time. So we decided to be spontaneous and go camping, and it was SO fun. I don't know why but I swear things you have done all your life are suddenly like you have never done it before because your doing it together. It's like trying new things all the time because your doing it with your husband for the first time. It makes life so fun. We went to the temple that morning and packed up our packs and headed out.

Dont worry we didn't take all of that. We decided to hike into our camping spot rather than drive our car there so we only took a fraction of it and started hiking up Rock Canyon. Seems pretty lame right... I mean Rock Canyon ? but it was quite the adventure.

We hiked for a couple hours till we found the perfect camping spot. We tried to figure out the way complicated tent for forever but finally finished it and it was like we had won the nobel prize.. haha we were so happy.

our sweet tent ! that took us forever

haha who is this kid ? honestly

just chillin in our sweet tent

trying to keep warm

Dave going into the freaking scary cave..thought I might loose my husband in the endless abyss

trying my hardest to lift a boulder

I almost stepped on that HUGE snake

haha I had to take a picture .. this was dave when he was still asleep that morning.. snuggled into his cocoon. That is actually one of my favorite things in the whole world. When your camping and your all warm in your sleeping bag and its cold outside and you just dont want to get out so you just lay there and sleep in complete silence of nature.. truly blissful

We were out in the middle of no where with no computers, no phones, nothing. Just he and I. Laughing, talking and just simply realizing how blessed we are to have each other. I always tell Dave, "this is one of those moments," one of those moments that you feel like you understand the true meaning of love. One of those moments where you feel like the luckiest person on earth to be able to spend all eternity with this person. One of those moments that words can't explain. One of those moments that erase all the bad ones. More than having an adventure together we had many "moments" this weekend. How blessed I feel.
